Possible troubles with programming DCC addresses
During programming addresses and commands can happen that decoder will read
all possible settings immediately and then decoder’s behaviour is strange:
probably on DCC controller is ON function repeating last known commands, known
also as auto mode. Purpose of this mode is cyclically repeat last status of all
known devices and locos, it is very helpful but for programming bad. Before
programming of decoders must be switch off this function. Decoders catch first
address and commands which will arrive and not address and command which we are
require.
Correction for DCC controller LENZE LZV100 with hand held LH100:
- SWITCH OFF (Manual mode), set controlling of Loko00 (analogue loco), decrease speed to 0, 6x press button “2”, switch off and switch on controller. Now we can program decoders.
- SWITCH ON (Auto mode), set controlling of Loko00 (analogue loco), decrease speed to 0, 6x press button “1”, switch off and switch on controller. Now we have back cyclical repeating last addresses and commands.
- If switch off failed use FACTORY RESET, set controlling of Loko00 (analogue loco), decrease speed to 0, more than 25x press button “4” (at 20th press will switch off power to track), switch off and switch on controller.
I will extend this list for other DCC controllers.
